This Year's Model Updates:

The Hyundai Santa Fe has been redesigned for the 2007 model year. Compared to last year's model, the new Santa Fe is larger, safer, more powerful and more luxurious.

Pros:
  • Upscale interior with high-quality materials, competitive price, long warranty, many standard safety features, optional third-row seat.
Cons:
  • Overly firm ride on SE and Limited trims, automatic transmission sometimes slow to respond, unimpressive brakes.

  • Glad we bought a Hyundai - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe

We drove ALL the mid size suvs. We liked the Honda cr-v. We even took it for a half a day and drove around. We went back to close the deal and the dealer couldnt have been more rude. We liked the car, but not going to buy from people who try and push you into it. So we went to Hyundai. Couldnt have been a better experince! We just love the santa Fe. Runs great, and looks great. Love it!!!

Before choosing this vehicle, I tested Honda CRV and Toyota Rav4 (4 cylinders) but ended up with total disappointment. Both vehicles were overpriced and underpowered. Then I tested Honda Pilot and Toyota Highlander. I preferred Highlander. However, I decided to give Hyundai Santa Fe a try. As soon as I drove the demo on the highway, I immediately fell in love with this model: beautiful exterior and interior design , excellent sound system and more importantly, a very dynamic and sporty power train but with a much more reasonable price tag. I have put over 37,000 miles on the SUV, not a tiny problem. I always brought the vehicle to the dealer for recommended services. the best SUV choice!

It has silent engine, smooth going, stylish look, lovely interiors, competitive price and great warranty. All You need is zeal and quest to drive this vehicle. Ofcourse Auto Pundits are branded boys to rate the vehicles accordingly. So it didnt surprise me rating Santa Fe less than the poor performers & hard sellers.

The Santa Fe is quieter and more enjoyable to drive than my Buick Rendezvous that I really liked. Its got a lot of standard features considering the fact that this is the base model. The 2.7 automatic V6 is OK in coastal NC where we live but strains in the mountains according to my wife (I wasnt with her). The stick-shift feature apparently was useful in coping with the steeper road grades. At 16.5 MPG city, fuel economy is disappointing. No problems at all so far but after 3 1/2 months, we only have 2,900 miles on it.

  • A Jewel to Own - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe

Love to look at Santa Fe from any angle. Every bit as nice as any SUV in its size and I feel like Im in a Lexus or a BMW with really no trade-off. Two years, 41k and still seems like new. Competent handling vehicle all-around. Excellent utility, visibility, pleasure to drive, haul stuff, and to carry 4-5 passengers. I regularly have 4 adults and 4 sets of golf clubs. Paint shine great. Blue lighting on the dash being so nice. People are impressed by this car. Friend with an 07 Jeep Cherokee which was double the price, he comments that his car has virtually no advantage over mine. He has rarely ever engaged his 4 wheel drive. He gets 15mpg, I average 22 around town and 26 hwy.

  • what a nice surprise - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe

I test drove the 2007 Toyota RAV4, Subaru RX-7, Subaru Tribeca and Mercury Mariner and was totally surprised that this vehicle was the nicest "cabin experience". I swore I would never buy a Hyundai but discovered the Santa Fe had the most value/price. It was similar to the Tribeca but $5000. less. The build quality is excellent and the warranty is outstanding. Have driven 1700 mi. so far and averaged 20.6 MPG (and regular gas is a plus---the Subarus required premium). Overall, this has been a delightful vehicle!

A former 05 Santa Fe owner, my 07 Limited SF is a major improvement. Impressive interior, greater driver visibility, smooth ride, excellent turning ratio, and all the goodies included. Truly a highway ride joy. Bought the Ebony Black and it gets many head turners. How do they do it at the price? - Before u buy Honda or Toyota, check it out. Unbeatable warranty too!

What a superb mid-size SUV. The styling is dynamite, inside and out. Very well engineered and it shows in the smallest of details. The build quality is awesome. I have not had one single problem or flaw since I purchased it. The ride is smooth and controlled and actually unbelievably good for a vehicle of this weight and size. There is absolutely no wind noise - even at 70 mph and the doors sound like a bank vault when they close. The attention to detail is indicative of a high-end Asian or German sedan. Im delighted I made the right purchase decision on this SUV. I have owned 22 new vehicles in my life and can truly this one is the best. Try the new Santa Fe Limited!

  • Younger Than its Years! - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe

I bought my used 2007 Limited in late 2014, when it was already nearly eight years old and had 124,500 miles on it. I certainly had doubts about buying a CUV with mileage that high, but the test drive impressed me enough to roll the dice. Im glad I did. My Santa Fe has been a joy to own for the past year. Ive put nearly another 15-k miles on it with no problems. The engine still purrs, the interior and exterior look great (I keep it clean and wash it frequently) and the climate control system works to perfection. The car is for me a perfect combination of size, power, and good looks. The only non-routine expense of the past year was the replacement of both fuel senders, which has been a noted trouble spot for Santa Fes in general. My previous vehicle was a Mazda Tribute ES, which I loved for its sporty feel and quick acceleration. The Santa Fe isnt quite the same racehorse, but its a much smoother ride. All in all, a terrific CUV. If you can locate a good used one, dont necessarily be put off by a high odometer reading. With normal maintainence, this car will last.

Just purchased a 2007 Santa Fe Limited AWD. The car is amazing. The redesign makes this SUV best in class. Looks and performs like a luxury SUV for thousands less!
